The Awards recognize outstanding Cebu student thesis work in architecture, urban planning, and environmental design that demonstrates rigorous research, thoughtful analysis, and innovative responses to real-world challenges. As part of the CEBUCON BUILD EXPO, the Awards provide a platform for promising academic works to reach beyond the university, to connect emerging ideas and young designers with the wider professional community. Through it, we regard the student works not simply as academic requirements, but as valuable contributions to the future of our communities and natural world. It highlights the importance of the next generation of construction professionals—those who will soon lead and transform our built environment.

The Awards is conceptualized in collaboration with the architecture departments in five universities in Cebu: University of San Carlos (USC), Cebu Institute of Technology (CIT) – University, Southwestern University – PHINMA, University of Southern Philippines (USP) and University of Visayas (UV).

As Bachelor of Science in Architecture programs expand to more campuses across Cebu, the roster of participating universities is expected to grow.
